Responsibilities
- Administrative office manager, obtain and
provide information to unit members and the public where judgment,
knowledge, and interpretation of policies and regulations are
required; make decisions regarding procedural matters. Set priorities;
plan, develop, implement, and maintain office management procedures
and work processes.
- Oversee human resources functions and act
as liaison to resolve employee relation issues. Ensure compliance
with University Affirmative Action Policies.
- Manage all aspects associated with the unit’s
general, restricted, endowments, cost recovery, and gift budgets.
Maintain accountability for budget expenditures; approve financial
transactions.
- Serve as building’s and unit’s
facilities coordinator and unit’s technical coordinator.
Indentify, plan, prioritize unit’s technical and facilities
needs. Indentify funding for renovations, computing, and communication
upgrades. Prepare, plan, and coordinate the implementation of
technical upgrades. Coordinate work with college and university
technicians and OPP managers. Prepare, submit, follow-up, and
approve building Work Order requests.
- Manage the unit’s Stewardship and
development activity. Implement the College of Agricultural Sciences
(CAS) Stewardship, and development, initiative within the AEE
unit. Use the CAS eSteward database to prepare and generate correspondence
to donors on a consistent basis. Provide administrative support
to the department head for strategic development initiatives.
- Prepare reports, prepare or oversee preparation
of various publications. Analyze and summarize research and program
data for budget reports and proposals. Write and edit various
reports, requests, publications, or articles.
- Plan, publicize, and coordinate special
events and public relations activities.
