County Educator's Guide to State Fashion Revue
Follow Regional chairs deadline for regional fashion revue events. Regional revue chair will notify you if any of your county members are selected to go on to state or have been determined as a narrator. Check to see that your 4-H member is:
Removed from other state days contests.- Registered for state days, whether they stay overnight or not.
- Arrange for any meals, other than the Wednesday noon meal.
- All health forms are sent in with the registration forms to Jan Scholl. The state fashion revue participant forms will also be sent to Jan Scholl by the regional chair.
- Make sure your participant has copies of the state participant letter and the rules. If you have a narrator, they should receive a state narrator letter and should have a copy of the state fashion revue rules and regulations, too. These are on the 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences Web site under Fashion Revue.
- No parents or well-wishers are allowed in the Eisenhower Auditorium during the day. Please make sure they have other plans.
- If your 4-H member is modeling anything that is in the slightest questionable, please notify Jan Scholl in advance.
After the state revue:
Photographs: We do not require the 4-H members to stay overnight. However, if they are selected to receive awards, they might want to stay to be in a photograph.
Counties and participants will be sent photographs. These often take several weeks to process. An honors group photograph appears in Lancaster Farming.
Score Sheets: The score sheets will be sent through the county mail and not distributed with other score sheets at state days. The scores are removed, as the scoring ranges from 1-100, but comments and indications of where the 4-H member needs to improve are marked.
