Fashion Revue News Release
Summer 2008
Creating your own clothes is fun, money-saving, and a terrific way to learn decision-making along with clothing construction skills. 4-H clothing project members who model their creations in the state 4-H Fashion Revue also develop self-confidence and poise, and get to share their knowledge and skills with others from all over the state.
Former participants report their Fashion Revue experience is helpful in job interviews and career activities.
This year, 60 Pennsylvania 4-H'ers, representing all regions of the state, will model their outfits during Penn State 4-H Achievement Days.
The event will be held at the Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park Campus of Penn State at 8:00 p.m. on August 6, 2008. The revue is free and open to the public. Competing in the State Fashion Revue program from ____________________ (county or region) are: (list names and addresses).
Entrants will model garments they made as part of their 4-H clothing projects. These include dress and casual clothes, as well as sportwear.
The 12 4-H'ers will be named to an Honors Group on August 6 and August 7, 2008.
Penn State's Cooperative Extension coordinates the 4-H program in Pennsylvania.
