Textile Science Project Grid
The new textile science materials are designed so that members and leaders can choose projects from a certain level of expertise. Leaders wanting to leader an entire group of members in a certain project can now do so if they choose, year after year.
Each project has suggestions for beginners and more advanced members. Members may take projects over again, but select different goals. Presentation ideas and additional resources are suggested.
Members will need to have access to a sewing book and may choose from a variety of selected references that are on PENpages. These will give them information not only on sewing skills, but will spark their interest with possible ideas they can try in their project. Reference materials can often be obtained at the local library or through the interlibrary loan office of the local library.
